After they’re harvested, they go through a process of pre-cleaning and sorting, followed by an even more thorough quality check where any debris and damaged beans are removed. Once it passes the quality check, the beans are roasted to the exact temperature for a specific period of time. After that, the beans are cooled, and then milled into a paste-like substance. This forms the foundation for Dove.
The cocoa-paste is mixed with other ingredients such as sugar, and placed into molds to create the signature Dove Chocolate bar shape. After the chocolate bar is molded, it is cooled and packaged into individual wrappers and shipped off to stores.
